Lamborghini Sangue Di Miura "Blood of the Bull" Ferruccio Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG 2017
Lamborghini Wine was launched over fifty years ago in 1968 by Ferruccio Lamborghini, the man behind one of the world's most famous car companies of the same name. Ferruccio's love of wine was as intense as his passion for cars and it shows in the Lamborghini range of wines, now crafted by Riccardo Cotarella, one of Italy's most renowned winemakers. The family estate, where most of the wines are sourced, is on the border between Tuscany and Umbria and close to where he originally launched Lamborghini cars.
Amarone della Valpolicella is a rich, dry Italian red wine characterized by ripe, bold flavors. Directly after harvest, the grapes are air dried through a process called Òappassimento", which allows them to shrivel into raisins. This concentrates the sugar and flavors in the grapes, producing a distinctive and full-bodied wine well-suited to aging. It is often said that you can safely forget an Amarone in your wine cellar. Depending on the vintage and aging technique, wines of exceptional quality can be enjoyed up to 30-50 years after bottling.
In the 60s, Ferruccio Lamborghini spent time with Don Eduardo Miura, a breeder for Spanish fighting bulls. He was so inspired and impressed by the animals power, stability and determination, that he decided that the raging bull should be his car brands logo on the shield. It was also inspired by his zodiac sign, Taurus (the bull).
Ferruccio's 'Sangue di Miura' Amarone is extremely limited. It is characterised by brooding dark berry fruits, bold tannins, chocolate and coffee undertones and lingering warm finish. A big, bold wine that will cellar for 15+ years.
"One of the most spectacular wines made in Italy"

The birth of a legend
