$168.00 Sale Save

Lamborghini Wine was launched over fifty years ago in 1968 by Ferruccio Lamborghini, the man behind one of the world's most famous car companies of the same name. Ferruccio's love of wine was as intense as his passion for cars and it shows in the Lamborghini range of wines, now crafted by Riccardo Cotarella, one of Italy's most renowned winemakers. The family estate, where most of the wines are sourced, is on the border between Tuscany and Umbria and close to where he originally launched Lamborghini cars.

Unearth the elegance of our Sangiovese wine, wrapped in a captivating ruby red hue. This gem offers an intense yet delicate aroma that paves the way for a pleasantly flavorful palate, supported by firm tannins for a lingering finish. Enjoy this distinctive wine today, or allow it to age for 6-8 years to further enrich its charm.

Our interpretation of the most widespread grape variety in the Trasimeno...

ERA IGT Umbria Sangiovese, our interpretation of the most widespread grape variety in the Lake Trasimeno area, is produced for the first time with the 2007 vintage.

The name was suggested by Mount Era, whose harmonious, rounded shape dominates the vineyards and the estate.

In Greek mythology, Hera, bride of Zeus and queen of Olympus, is the goddess of marriage and fertility.

The vineyards from which it comes are all planted at a high density, with approximately 5,500 plants per hectare and yields not exceeding 1.5 kg per plant.
Maceration lasts fifteen days in contact with the skins.

Era then spends a period of five months maturing in tonneaux where it undergoes malolactic fermentation before resting a further six months in the bottle.

Ruby red colour tending towards garnet, the nose has notes of dried leaves and humus, followed by red berry fruit and nutmeg.

On the palate there is a pleasant savouriness, firm tannins and a long finish.
